Development
Early Prototypes (current)
Early prototypes are available for download. These are a minimal implementations of the core gameplay loop. This includes:
- Earn experience by infecting and killing.
- Level up to unlock more symptoms or action points.
- Symptoms affect infectiousness and lethality.
- Action points are used to interact directly with the world.
- Win by killing everyone.
Vertical Slice
A vertical slice represents the full intended gameplay experience. This will include:
- One mall scenario.
- An airborne infection.
- Fully simulated pulmonary and related symptoms. For example, people will actually cough, spreading the infection.
- More in-depth actions. The current "infect" ability will be removed. Instead, actions will be more indirect, like opening an air vent.
- Random events. For example, people may barricade in a shop.
Development and iteration will continue in this phase until the game is very fun and replayable. Only after this will the release date and official roadmap be announced.
Official Roadmap
The official roadmap will focus on multiple scenarios, infection types, symptoms, etc., fleshing out the content and long-term progression of the game.
The details of the official roadmap will be provided after the vertical slice is complete.

Game was really fun, although really short. Took me about 4 tries before finally killing everyone. It's kinda fun to lose because everyone you infected died, you'd think a corpse with a fatal disease would have *some* contagious capabilities...
I lost because of a single person, who despite being surrounded by people with an incredibly contagious disease, still managed to survive
UI feels pretty good, maybe a little small. The text messages thing is cool - maybe it could have it's own window that could be hidden instead of being in the main menu?
I didn't immediately realize I could rotate the perspective. The rotating motion is jarring, doesn't feel good.
I assume this is the kind of thing you want feedback on at the moment since the systems are barebones right now. Good luck!
Your games are right up my alley. I really enjoy playing them!
I think something can be done to utilize the skill points, the mall setting, and make it a more active experience to play. My initial idea is to allow the player to trigger events using the skills points, such as a sale in one of the stores, causing people to cram in.
I see you already have plans for similar ideas to ensue chaos, so I can't wait to see where it goes!
the game looks empty which is like duh but it would be much more fun if we could add emotions and ability to design a specific virus then use it and it would be cool as well to have antidote i loved it anyways
I love the game so far and i would def play the full version. I would love to be able to somehow locate all the non infected people (for example in the view tab make it an option) bc sometimes healthy people hide behind walls and i want to use my skill points to infect them.
Looks very interesting, could you maybe add an MacOS version? Ps. really enjoyed the Terrain Generation Tutorial series on Youtube (:
The game was fun too. Of course it's still being playtested and all but it felt like there was strategy missing, but that's probably mostly just because of the fact that it just isn't done lol. I liked it.
Thanks! I already completely changed it to make the goal to kill everyone instead of evolve zombies. I think it feels a lot more strategic
I think i’ll try some roguelite events too
thanks for trying it!
Man you really have a skill at making the cleanest UI.
Then you make it say "Diarrhea". But god damn that UI is so clean. Very well done on that.
