0.25 Patch Notes
This update, unlike prefix minor updates, introduces minor gameplay tweaks.
I felt that lumberjack houses were a bit confusing and not very interesting, while farm houses were pretty fun and intuitive. So, I’ve changed lumberjack houses from wood-to-wisdom converts to something that upgrades nearby lumberjacks, similar to the farm house.
I also think that it feels better to get wisdom constantly from more sources, so I’ve made both farms and lumberjacks provide wisdom, and increased the wisdom-per-level a bit to balance it out. It’s kind of fun now to watch wisdom fly in from all over the place.
I also tested a Workshop building that converts wood to fine wood, and made fine wood a requirement for some buildings such as the tavern. However, in testing, it just felt like an added step that wasn’t very fun, so I reverted it.
Patch notes:
- Reworked building: Lumberjack House now upgrades nearby lumberjacks, but no longer converts wood to wisdom
- Reworked building: Lumberjack now has reduced radius and requirements, requires a worker, and provides wisdom
- Farms now provide wisdom
- Increased Efficient Farm and Efficient Lumberjack bonus to +100%
- Wisdom per level requirement increased
- Bugfix: build/demolish hotkeys no longer work while in menu
